Description
This photo captures the beautiful red rocks of Monument Valley at sunrise. Just like many places in the West, the red rock slowly reveals its beauty when the sun gradually rises. It is a sight to see in Monument Valley.
Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1,000 ft above the valley floor. It is located on the Arizona/Utah border, near the Four Corners area. The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163.

You have done a fantastic job here showing the intense color and beautiful details of this scene. I love the beach but I fell in love with the desert when I visited Arizona for the first time a few years ago and Monument Valley is on my list of places to visit when I go back. Your photo has me longing to go there soon!
