Description
This photo captures the Christmas scene at Jackson Square, French Quarter, New Orleans. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the United State. It is a city for all seasons especially during Christmas Season when French Quarter is decorated with Christmas lights and decoration. There are two main pitfalls for photographing French Quarter at night. One is the trash bins, they seem to be everywhere after dark! Secondly is the lamp posts are always not aligned straight! Anyway this night scene is a typical Christmas scene in French Quarter.
Jackson Square is a historic park in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1960, for its central role in the city's history, and as the site where in 1803 Louisiana was made United States territory pursuant to the Louisiana Purchase. In 2012 the American Planning Association designated Jackson Square as one of America's Great Public Spaces.
