Artist's Description
This photo captures the beautiful Light Bulb flowers. At least to me, it was the first time I saw these flowers.
Clerondendrum smithianum is a fast growing tropical Perennial with a loose flowing growth habit. It is commonly called Light Bulbs or Chains of Glory.
It blooms in hanging red stemmed cascading streamers of individual unique bulb shaped buds with bronze burgundy sepals that open into short lived white tubular shaped single flowers with long stamens tipped with golden pollen.
